About Me

I was born and raised in Athens, Greece. I have degrees in Psychology  (Justus-Liebig Universität, Giessen, Germany, MSc), in Sociology (Deree College - American College of Greece, BA) and in Industrial Relations (Warwick University, England, MA). For my MSc in Psychology I looked into mothers´"ways of coping with autistic children in Germany" and also worked with groups of autistic adults. I subsequently acquired additional training in Continuing Professional Education in Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA), as well as in Person Centered Approach Psychotherapy and Counselling with Children, Youngsters and their Attachment Figure (Play Therapy). I also received training based on the theories of Carl Rogers in cooperation with the German "Children and Youth Emergency Hotline" (KJT), where I worked as an online counsellor. I recognized very early in my life that working as a psychologist was to be my calling. I have heard innumerable personal stories with patience and compassion. Each time, I have tried to uplift the person who trusted me with his or her case through my professional knowledge, my life experience, my personal life philosophy, and even with a sense of humor. As a mother of a Type One Diabetic I have been especially sensitized about Diabetes and chronic diseases in general (See Media). I am a pationate traveller, I love spending time in nature, caring for animals and getting to know new cultures and people. Photography gives me the opportunity to take with me what impresses me out there. I am the mother of two daughters, and I speak three languages daily.
